ok so it took me ages to understand how to actully do this..


i hope i don't confuse you.





you can go to google and just search for ';sims 2 downloads'; to find the good sites.


some sites require subscription, but some don't.





ok, so once you've found some.. go into ';my documents';..


then go into the folder ';EA games';


then from there, open ';Sims 2';


Then open up the downloads flie.


If there isn't one, make one. LABEL IT ';Downloads';


okkk...





so now download them.


they should automatically go into that file.


you probably have to ';unzip'; the file now.


just right click on it, and go to ';extract'; andd then go through it all until its done.


it sucks, and takes forever, but its worth it.





now open the game, and change the setting so it says custom content ON.





and then close it and re start it up again.





they should be there.





NOTE!!!!!!*******


dowloads need ';meshes';


read about them, and see if they need meshes.


if they do, they wont show up in the game properly.


they usually have a link with them, so click it and download the mesh AND the item.

Yes, it's very easy.





To download the files, you can go to the Exchange at www.sims2.com, or other sites like www.modthesims2.com. There are many sims sites with downloads on the internet.





Once you have the file, just double click it and you should be able to go from there.
well there are sites to download stuff from my personal favorite is thesimsresource.com you can download a lot of stuff w/o having to subscribe but if you see an item you like click the blue box w/ a person icon thing and follow the instructions then it should have automatically downloaded into the game.
