How should I wear my hair and makeup for prom?

I have dark brown hair which is to my shoulder. My dress top is a halter top and it's a open back. The dress is white and pink.How should I wear my hair and makeup for prom?
I would go to the local beauty college and get an up-do, that's what I did, and they did a REALLY good job each time I went. For make up, you can either get it done or do it yourself...if you plan on getting it done, get an appointment quick, because they fill up fast!
