I think it looks better on brunettes, but there is a red for everyone.How can I do pin up girl hair/makeup?
I haven't mastered the hair part, but black eyeliner (aim for cat-eyed look) and red lipstick are pretty much the makeup basics for this look.


Calixta is right about the red lipstick thing. It's a b*tch to find the right red, or it was for me because I have a cool undertone to my skin and most lipsticks sold in stores (like Wal*Mart and the drugstore) are orange-y. Someone said the red I wear now it's orange-y.. but it seems like more of just a true red. It doesn't matter, because it works for me. I suggest trying out Kat Von D's lipsticks because she has 4 and they're supposed to work for everyone. You can find those at Sephora.com.
I don't know about the pin up girl hair...


But red lipstick looks the best on girls with fair skin and brown hair.


It can also look great on blonde haired and fair skinned girls...

I agree that it is more about skintone. Red lipstick isn't just simply red lipstick. They usually have either a blue or an orange undertone. Some skintones look better in warmer reds, while others look better in cooler tones. I would say it also could depend on the shade of blonde or brunette you are as well.
you need heated rollers to get the tight curls your after


also a blunt short fringe always helps the overall look





personally i like red lips on blondes better it looks alot more striking but there are different tones for all





if you have pale skin go for a true red/darker red


olive skin tones suit a orange based red


black skin can wear them all!

-you should do big curls on your hair, old hollywood style (1920's)


-Red lips (doesn't matter how pale or dark your skin is)


-Big eyelashes (lots and lots of extra volume mascara)

Red Lips..... it's not so much a blonde or brunette thing, it's a skin tone... if you have Irish eyes and have cute freckles, opt for pink or burgandy, if you have PALE skin go as RED as you want!
