How much schooling do you need to be a makeup artist or hair stylist?

I want to be either a makeup artist or hair stylist, maybe both...


how much schooling do you need to go to a beauty school, like how good do you have to do in high school to get into one.

High School really has nothing to do with Beauty School. The grades or classes don't really matter. Though, For Cosmetology School, It depends on your state hours. If you want to be a make up artist, Some states don't require a license, and the states that do. If they do, It would be the Esthetics course, which is shorter then the Cosmetology Course(Which, If you want to do both, That would be the course you would take.). Some states(Though not sure.) may even have a seperate course for make up. So. it really depends on your state hours, and the course you take.How much schooling do you need to be a makeup artist or hair stylist?
i believe its up to 18 months of beauty school.
