Who does the hair and makeup in a funeral home, what are they called?

I think it is called desirology but I can't find the correct spelling.Who does the hair and makeup in a funeral home, what are they called?
It depends on where you work. Most places do the hair and makeup for males themselves as it is usually not too complicated. For females, the funeral home will often hire a beautician and cosmetologist for this work. I have seen the family hire the hair stylist that the deceased used. There are also people who are called in by the funeral home to do makeup and hair. They are referred to as cosmetologists, and beauticians or hair stylists. They are not usually employed by the funeral home, but called in when needed. I have known some funeral directors who are excellent with this and do it as part of the job though.Who does the hair and makeup in a funeral home, what are they called?
I think they are called Morticians, or somethings like that =]
Its a Mortician, Morticians are beauticians for the dead
During mortuary school, all morticians (AKA funeral directors) are trained to do the make-up. We take many classes about putting make-up on the deceased, therefore funeral homes rarely hire out for this, as we are trained to do it. Althoug, I have heard of it having a specific name, and I believe you are correct. Take care!
i regular person can do it or you can get a cosmetologist to do that since they are experience in hair and make upp.....
